CPAF Indices 2021

SAFCEC publishes these indices as a service to its members.
These are sourced from StatsSA and are not calculated by SAFCEC.
SAFCEC uses publications from Statistics South Africa (StatsSA) to populate the indices.

Changes to indices provided by StatsSA effective January 2018

The four components in the CPAF will have the following indices: –

Labour: stays the same; derived from CPI
Fuel: Inland, Coastal and Wholesale replaced by one index (Diesel)
Plant: One new category: Mining & Construction Pant & Equipment Index sourced from the Construction Materials Price Indices
Material: 13 categories; Civil Engineering Material price indices sourced from Construction Materials Price Indices; Contractors to determine which of the 13 categories are most applicable through engagement with client and / or consulting engineers
